Organise WCEF Side Events
WCEF Side Events offer an easy way to attract new audiences for your circular economy event. These individual events can be organised by our collaborators throughout the year. Read more about side events and fill in an application to get your event listed!
Apply to host an Accelerator Session
The annual forum offers 2+2 days of curated programme: 2 days of the main event curated by the partners + 1-2 days of accelerator sessions hosted by collaborators. Accelerator sessions also offer a great opportunity to publish circular economy-related reports, tools and initiatives.
Each year, there will be an open call for accelerator session hosts, launched when the forum dates and themes are announced. Make sure you don’t miss it and order our newsletter to stay updated.
Apply to host an Expo Stand
In addition to the programme, the annual WCEF also showcases the world’s best circular economy solutions and offers networking opportunities. Each year, there will be an open call for expo stand hosts, launched approximately 3-4 months before the forum takes place. Stay tuned for more information by subscribing to our newsletter.
Want to become a partner?
Over the years, WCEF has had a variety of brilliant partners from across the world. These include co-hosts, strategic partners, programme partners and funders. We’re truly grateful to all contributions and believe in the power of collaboration.
In previous editions, our strategic partners have included organisations such as Circle Economy Foundation and the International Resource Panel (IRP) hosted by UNEP. They provide the scientific backbone to the forum content and contribute updated information about the progress of circularity.
Programme partners curate the main forum’s programme with the co-hosts. As each year focuses on different topics, also the selection of programme partners varies each year. Programme partners include organisations such as the European Commission, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Want to fund WCEF?
Organising an annual WCEF requires a huge amount of coordination, collaboration and funding. Sitra as the owner of the WCEF concept provides a web platform and app, an experienced staff to guide the forum production, and access to a wide network of WCEF collaborators. The country host provides the main resources for organising the annual forum. In addition, we highly appreciate the resources made available by international funders who want to promote the circular economy and help us build a truly global community.
Our funders include organisations like the Governments of Finland and the Netherlands, the European Investment Bank, Nordic Council of Ministers and Nordic Innovation. In addition, some WCEF partners have covered the travel expenses of selected Global South participants.
